Insights from Vicki ~ 1/2/2024

Welcome 2024!  Jim, my husband and I had a Chinese meal on NY Day and my fortune cookie said “ darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that” . This was a great reminder for the new year.  Our world can get dark at times and its so important that each one of us shine bright. Our own inner light can ripple out and surely make a difference. This is our superpower! It’s not always easy to keep our light bright and we need to work at it. I find the holidays can really tap my light, the empath in me picks up the joy but also the sadness and loneliness that others feel. It is a struggle during this time to keep my light bright, so many people are missing loved ones who have passed. So what can I do to shine bright? Remember that I am picking up on the collective energies and release them, pray, get out in nature, and breath though it all. It can feel like an emotional roller coaster at times. So,  if you are like me, know that you are not alone and there are things you can do to keep your light bright. There is not one given way that will work for everyone, so practice some different techniques to find what will work for you. Surround yourself with people who lift you and limit time with those who drain you. This can be hard because often its our family and friends who drain us. It’s ok to set limits on how long you spend time with those people, even if they are family. Remove yourself from drama and high emotional situations, get more rest, take care of yourself. It’s not selfish to practice self care and can really set the example for others. Remember your light can lead others to join you in your self care, limit setting and positive behaviors. Remember the world needs your light and you make a difference now and always.

If you feel inclined, please share your own story, your journey or techniques as it may help someone searching for a connection or way to brighten.

Many blessings,

Vicki
