Meet Me!

Psychic Medium • Spiritual Healer • Pet Communicator

A journey of connection, healing, and

trusting what the heart already knows

My name is Vicki Snyder-Young, and I am a psychic medium, spiritual healer, and pet communicator serving Rochester, New York, and clients beyond the local area professionaly for over 13 years.

For me, this work is not simply about receiving messages or performing a service. It is about connection—the connection between people, between this world and the spirit world, between humans and animals, and perhaps most importantly, the connection we have with our own inner knowing.

My spiritual journey has been one of learning to listen, learning to trust, and learning that sometimes the things we cannot see can still be deeply felt.

My Story

Following the Breadcrumbs

About 16 years ago, I went to a psychic fair and had a reading. I wasn't there because I had a plan to become a psychic medium. I was simply curious and open to the experience. During the reading, the woman told me something that stayed with me. She said that I could be doing what she was doing—I prayed but I did not meditate;  I needed to meditate. So I listened. I joined a meditation group, not really knowing where it would lead me. What happened next changed the direction of my life.

When Everything Opened

As I began meditating, things started to shift for me spiritually. At one point, it felt as though everything exploded open. I began having experiences that I couldn't easily explain. One of the most memorable happened when I woke up in my house to the unmistakable smell of smoke—as if my house were on fire. I checked. There was no fire. Then it happened again. Twice. Looking back, I feel that spirit was trying to get my attention. And I was beginning to listen. At the time, my life looked very different on the outside. I was working in the "real world" in commercial real estate and property management. I also had a degree in psychology, although I wasn't using it in my career at the time. I certainly wasn't walking around thinking, I'm going to become a psychic medium. But little by little, something was calling me in another direction.

Following the Breadcrumbs

I started calling these experiences the breadcrumbs. One thing would lead to another. A person would say something. I'd hear about a class or a group. I'd meet someone who would point me in another direction. And I learned to pay attention. Rather than having a five-year plan for where my spiritual life was supposed to take me, I simply followed the next breadcrumb. Eventually, those breadcrumbs led me to Plymouth Spiritualist Church. I didn't know it at the time, but finding that church would become one of the most important turning points in my spiritual journey.

Finding Home

Plymouth Spiritualist Church, The Mother Church of Spiritualism in Rochester,  became my spiritual home.It was also where I found training and guidance in spiritual healing and mediumship. There, I was able to develop my abilities, learn from others, and begin to understand experiences that had been part of my life for much longer than I realized. And that led to one of the biggest realizations of my journey:I had been hearing spirit my whole life.I simply hadn't had the words for it nor did I have family to guide me in my abilitites. Looking back, I could recognize moments, experiences, and ways I had connected with people that suddenly made sense in a completely different way. What I thought was simply part of who I was began to reveal itself as part of my spiritual path.

A Memory From Childhood

Looking back, I can see that my connection to spirit and intuition may have been with me long before I understood it.When I was in second grade, I remember knowing that my teacher was pregnant. She hadn't told anyone yet, but one day I simply asked her, “Are you pregnant?”She was surprised and later asked my mother, “How did Vicki know?”There really wasn't an explanation.I just knew.It was one of those childhood moments that everyone found a little unusual, and then, as children often do, I eventually forgot about it.Years later, during my spiritual training at Plymouth Spiritualist Church, that memory suddenly came back to me. Looking back now, I wonder how many little breadcrumbs were there all along—experiences I didn't understand at the time, but that became meaningful once I began to understand my own intuitive abilities.Learning to Trust the JourneyI didn't receive a roadmap.I received breadcrumbs. And I learned to follow them. There were no guarantees about where each step would lead. I simply learned to listen, pay attention, stay curious, and trust what was unfolding. That lesson continues to guide me today. My journey into mediumship and spiritual healing wasn't something I planned from the beginning. It unfolded one experience, one person, one lesson, and one breadcrumb at a time. And I am incredibly grateful that I listened.

Why I Do This Work Today

That journey is a large part of why I approach my work with compassion.I know what it is like to experience something you don't quite understand.I know what it is like to wonder whether you're imagining something, whether you're ready to take the next step, or where that next step might lead. And I know how important it can be to have someone who will simply listen without judgment. Today, I bring that understanding into my work as a psychic medium, spiritual healer, and pet communicator.I don't expect everyone to understand their path immediately. Sometimes you simply follow the next breadcrumb. And sometimes, when you look back, you realize the breadcrumbs were leading you somewhere all along.~ Vicki

What you can expect

My Work as a Psychic Medium

Being a medium is, to me, a responsibility that I hold with great respect. When someone comes for a reading, they are often bringing something very personal with them. They may be carrying grief, questions, uncertainty, memories, or simply a desire to know whether a connection they felt with someone they loved can still be experienced.

I approach those moments with compassion.

A reading may involve impressions, feelings, images, memories, or messages that arise intuitively. Sometimes the information is emotional. Sometimes it is surprisingly specific. Sometimes there are moments of laughter and familiar memories.

Healing Is at the Heart of My Work

I see healing as a process of creating space—to breathe, reflect, release, reconnect, and listen to what may be asking for our attention.

My spiritual healing work may incorporate approaches including shamanic healing, Reiki, intuitive practices, tarot, spiritual guidance, and other healing traditions and techniques.

Each session is personal.

There is no single formula that works for everyone. Your experiences, beliefs, emotions, and life circumstances are uniquely yours, and I approach each person with respect for their individual journey.

My intention is not to tell you who you should be or what path you should take.

Instead, I offer a compassionate space where you can explore, listen, and reconnect with yourself.

My Connection With Animals

Animals have always had a special place in my heart.

As a pet communicator, I work intuitively with animals and their people to help bring greater understanding and connection.

Our animals are family. They accompany us through some of the most important moments of our lives, and their presence can leave an enormous imprint on our hearts.

I believe that relationship deserves to be honored.

A Compassionate, Down-to-Earth Approach

I want you to feel comfortable.

I want you to feel heard.

And I want you to feel that you can be completely yourself.

I am not interested in creating an atmosphere where spirituality feels inaccessible or overly complicated. I believe meaningful spiritual experiences can happen in a warm, relaxed environment—and yes, sometimes there is room for a little humor too.

Life can be heavy enough.

There should also be room for laughter, beautiful memories, unexpected moments, and the simple comfort of knowing that someone understands.

Holding Space for Life's Difficult Moments

People often find their way to spiritual work during times of change.

Sometimes it is after losing someone they love. Sometimes it is during a relationship change, a major life transition, or a period when they simply don't feel like themselves.

And sometimes there isn't a crisis at all.

Sometimes there is simply a quiet feeling inside that says:

There has to be more.

Whatever brings you through my door, I want you to know that you don't have to explain everything perfectly.

You don't have to know what questions to ask.

You don't have to know exactly what you believe.

You are allowed to be curious.

You are allowed to question.

You are allowed to be searching.

My job is to meet you where you are with compassion and respect.

What I Believe

I believe that love creates connections that are profoundly meaningful.

I believe our intuition can be a valuable part of our lives.

I believe animals have their own unique ways of communicating.

I believe healing is personal.

And I believe that sometimes a message, a memory, a feeling, or a moment of connection can arrive at exactly the time someone needs it.

I also believe in humility.

No spiritual practitioner has every answer. No reading can replace your own judgment, and no one should take away your ability to make your own choices.

My role is to share what comes through and provide a safe, compassionate environment for you to explore your experience.

You remain the person in charge of your own journey.

A Place for Connection

When you sit with me for a reading or healing session, you are bringing your own history, your own questions, your own hopes, and your own heart.

I don't take that lightly.

Whether you are looking for a message from someone you love, hoping to understand your spiritual path, seeking a healing experience, or wanting to deepen your connection with an animal companion, my intention is to provide a space where you feel safe, respected, and welcomed.

There is no need to arrive with everything figured out.

Sometimes we discover the next step simply by becoming quiet enough to hear it.

I Invite You to Come as You Are

My journey has taught me that life is filled with mystery, connection, loss, love, and unexpected moments of grace.

I am grateful that my path has brought me to this work—and even more grateful for the people and animals who have allowed me to be part of their journeys.

If you feel drawn to explore mediumship, spiritual healing, or animal communication, I invite you to reach out.

Bring your questions.

Bring your memories.

Bring your curiosity.

Bring your whole self.

I'll meet you there with an open heart.
